A speculative and imaginative attempt at cartography, or rather, at counter-cartography, internalizes auditory perceptions and memories of the seismic, the atmospheric, the submerged, the buried and the microscopic, the infra-and-ultrasonic. Drawings on clay tablets make up a subjective map of the artists’ journey based not on measurements of routes or optical memories, but rather on how sonic events, subtle bursts, and vibratory impacts are felt by the artists. Translated and materialized in clay through mark making, the work is a score on how the artists listen in the field
